SEO or Search Engine Optimisation is ruling the minds of all bloggers now. Everybody wants the best results from search engines isn’t it. So, when there can be text optimisation why can’t that be for images also. But then a problem arises since the crawlers can only read text and not see images how can we use images for better search results. But let me tell you, optimising the images is not that hard. Today I will show you how how to optimize your images so that you can attract more and more visitors to your site.![]()
Now take a look at this code:
<img src=”http://WHATEVER.jpg” height=”150″ width=”150″ alt=”Hi Whassup” title=”Image of Whatever”>
We will cover every variable one by one.![]()
First, the src, its the location of the image you are going to use. You can figure that out yourself.
Then comes height and width. Obviously these are the dimensions in which you want your image to be displayed.
Now comes alt. This is the alternate text that is displayed if your image doesn’t appear. This alt attribute gives the crawlers an idea of what your image is. For example your image is that of XBox 360 so your alt can be something like “XBox 360″ or “XBox”, etc. Using alt greatly helps.
Now comes title. Title is that text that appears when someone moves his cursor on the image. This also tells the crawlers what your image is all about.
Ya O.K but where can I use these images
Good question. These images can be used in between your posts. You just need to insert or edit the image code and change it to something like what you saw above. These images can also be elsewhere in your blog like in the sidebars or headers, as ads and in anyway. I strongly suggest you to start doing this to all your images. Seeyaah!!!![]()
