• Dafont.com : The best place to find a huge variety of premium fonts and download them for free. Many of the fonts listed there can be used in designing header images or logos. Their Top 100 list is awesome. No need of registering anywhere, just go -> select –> and download.
• Stock.Xchange : Excellent site to find good quality, royalty free images. However there may not be billions of images, but at least you can find whatever you want. There is no need to register there too.
• Eblogtemplates.com : This site offers some very good blog templates for free downloads. There are hundreds of templates for Blogger as well as Wordpress most of which are free. However you may need to register there. Registering there allows you to download all the templates and also upload your own template(if you have created one).
• Blogger –Buster : This site has some nice collection of blogger tutorials relating to customizing your design, using new widgets and some blog template collections. Definitely worth a look if you love using Blogger.
• Color Schemer : Very nice tool to get the code of the color you want. Very easy working. And if you are a designer or want to create your own template, this tool is for you.

Branding your blog means giving your blog a unique identity so that your readers always remember it. For this you can just contact any professional web-programmer or a company to design your own unique blog theme for hundreds or even thousands of dollars; or you can customize any free or cheap blog template to make it your very own. But there may be many bloggers who are already using that free or cheap template.

Starting It:

• Firstly search for any template that suits your niche and that can be customized to the maximum content. It doesn’t matter how many people are already using it as the concept here is to customize it to such a level that it becomes unique.
• Design your own header image or a logo. If you are not an expert in Photoshop you can hire any professional designer on webmaster forums for very cheap price. If you decide to get you logo designed, you can also use this as your favicon. This way you will build your own brand and people will start remembering you and your blog. Make sure your logo reflects your personality or your blog’s uniqueness.
• Try to include an About Me section somewhere on the blog with your photo. This will tell people that there really is someone behind the blog who cares to write for his readers, and that is you my friend.
• Write some pillar articles. These articles will not only increase your authority and traffic but also will remind people why they should return to your blog and how much important information they will get from you. Ultimately you will build your own brand telling people what you write about.
• Try to keep the language you use on your blog just the same as you use in your daily life, be a little casual and remind your readers that you are their friend.
• Make sure navigating through different pages in your site is easy and that your site contains About, Contact, FAQ and similar pages.

I mean, it is not necessary you use costly or very beautiful themes, but what matters is that your site should be user friendly and your readers should remember you.

So what are wordpress templates that you like?

1. In your Wordpress account open Design and then Theme Editor.
2. Then open your Header.php file and in that file search for a line similar to this one:

<link rel=”icon” href=”http://YOUR-IMAGE.ico” type=”images/x-icon” />

Now in that line you can see that YOUR-IMAGE.ico. Just replace that URL with the URL of your image. The extension for the image can be ico or jpg or something else.

O.K follow these steps:
1) First you need to decide how many and which ads you want to show in the rotator.

2) Get the URL of the images and and link URL of the advertisements. For example: you want to show 3 different ads of clickbank. Then you must have 1 Image URL and 1 link URL of every Clickbank ad. The images of all the ads should be equal in size. As you can see on the top of my blog’s header all the 4 ads that appear every 7 seconds are of same size.

3) Now go to Banner Rotator. Now scroll down. You will see a frame.

4) In the “how often” box type the seconds after which a different ad loads. Select the ad height and width. As per above example if your Clickbank ad URLs are of 125×125 then write width and height as 125 and 125.

5) In a box below you have to enter the number of ads that you want to show.

6) Now type the URLs of images and ad link of every ad individually. Scroll down and click on “Generate” button. It will take you to a new page where you will get a preview of your ad and the code it to insert in your HTML. If you are not satisfied with the appearance of the banner rotator then repeat this step.

7) After getting the code login to your blog account>Layout>Add New Page Element. And then paste it as HTML. Save the template and you are done.

2)First login to your blogger account and then open HTML editor. Now under

<head> and </head>

section find a line similar to this line:

#header{ float: left; width: 928px;height:125px; background-image:url(http://DEFAULT-IMAGE-URL); margin:0; padding:0;}

3)Now, in this line you can see the width and height of the default header image and the URL of the image. The width and height here are 928 and 125 respectively. But in your case it may be different. So consider that height and width and not the height and width shown here.

4)Note this width and height. Now open your image editor and edit and resize your(downloaded or from your computer) image accordingly. You can also add some text or any other image on your main image.
NOTE: You can edit any of your images by a software like GIMP or Photoshop or any other.

5) Save this image as .jpg, gif, or whatever.

6) Now open “Edit Page Element” of blogger account. And open “edit Header” and then upload your image. If the image is not of correct size then you can tick the option to resize image and BLOGGER will automaticaly do that. and then save it.

7) Alternatively, if you are having problem with the step#4. Then do this:
(a) Upload your image to an image hosting website. I used Photobucket. Make sure your image is of the correct size as we noticed in step#1.
(b) Now open your HTML editor in BLOGGER account. And in the same line that we noticed in step#1 replace the URL of the image given by your image hosting site with the default image URL.

Incase you want to hide your header do this:
First download your template(incase any error happens).
Now expand your template to find a line similar to this and insert a line where indicated:

#header h1 {
margin:5px 5px 0;
padding:15px 20px .25em;
line-height:1.2em;
text-transform:uppercase;
letter-spacing:.2em;
font: normal normal 200% Arial, Serif;
(Here insert: display:none; )
}

Firstly you need an icon to be your favicon. You can download it from anywhere from the net. Or else you can use any image from your computer. Now upload this image to your image hosting server.
I will recommend you to download your template in case any error occurs.
And then follow these steps:
1) Login to your Blog account and go to HTML editor.

2) Under the <head> and above </head> section find this line:

<link href='http://www.yourdomain.com/directory/file-name.png' rel='shortcut icon'/>

3) If you find the line, good, now you can see a URL in that line. Change it, write the URL of your image.

4) If you don’t find that line then create one. Just after your <head> section write that line. And don’t forget to change the URL of the image.

NOTE: The URL of the image is the URL your image hosting server gives you for a particular image. However I uploaded my “ninja” image from my computer to Photobucket and then changed the URL.

After following these steps save your template and see your new icon.
