Backlinks are the most important factors that decide your page rank, technorati authority and traffic. A link from another blog increases your page rank and technorati authority. And if it is a link in between the context of an article that is related to your article it can surely bring a lot of traffic too. So today I will show you some easy tricks that increase backlinks .

Creating any type of a valuable resource article where everyone would like to link. An example can be the dofollow blog list, or a list of photoshop tutorials, or a how to article, or a list of beautiful blog templates. Do you get it? You can think of many other articles according to your niche.
The Evil Way : Write an article that creates some kind of a controversy, for example, an article that attacks a famous person and creates a news on the web or in the blogosphere.
Creating any type of script, or software or application that others would like to talk about and use, for example, creating photoshop icons, wordpress plugins, an entrecard bookmark list, or a short cartoon movie showing Shoemoney and John Chow fighting.
Creating blog templates and distributing them for free. This can work, if you put your blog’s link in the footer of the templates. So the more your template is downloaded and used on other blogs, the more links you get. This is also useful in increasing your technorati authority. You can think of many other tricks just like this one, like creating a widget with a link of your blog. So the more bloggers use that widget in their blog the more backlinks you get.
Be the first to blog about a new website or ebook or any type of e-product, this will attract other bloggers to link to your review if they also write about it after you.
You can also run contests or any newsworthy event on your blog. But try to make it unique, not just another contest just like what we see on most of the blogs nowadays.
Publish an interview of a famous person on your blog. ( or something like Shoemoney and Problogger Face Off as in Dailyblogtips.com).

Teaming up with other bloggers can be very effective in the long run. See its obvious if you have several other bloggers that are your friends(or partners) in the same niche then it can be profitable not only for you but also for that other blogger. There are several reasons I recommend you to team up with others, see even I and Chetan work as a team and as bloggers we really learn a lot with each other, now that will surely inspire you to work with others.
O.K so how can it benefit you? I will tell you.

First of all you can do link exchanges with other bloggers. This will not only increase your blog’s traffic but also your page rank and not to forget, your technorati authority.
Next you can recommend each other on each other’s blogs through your articles. In short, you can write each other’s blog’s review. Since you have blogs in the same niche, your readers will only love to know about another blog that hold their interest.
You can also, as a team, write articles on each other’s blogs. So if the other blogger writes an article on your blog you will get more content. And if you write on other’s blog, you will get more readers and backlinks for free.

Analyzing Traffic Exchange Resources

You know apart from different search engines, communities and other sites there are many traffic exchange sources that can increase traffic for your blog. These sites exchange traffic between bloggers. I use services like Blog Upp, Blog Rush and Entrecard for this blog.[...]

The concept is simple you help other bloggers and others help you in attracting traffic. However Blog Rush has not been so good for this blog but the traffic it gets to your blog is highly targeted. After signing up for BlogRush they ask you to put a widget on your blog and it is this widget due to which traffic comes.
BlogUpp does not need any registration. You just enter your blog’s URL and they give you a code for widget to put on your blog. This widget shows the latest appearance of “almost similar blogs” after the last time they were edited. Just like this your blog also appears in different other blogs. Blog Upp has been attracting a lot of visitors for Blog-o-Ninja; however the traffic is not much targeted.
Another one use I use, Entrecard, is attracting many bloggers as a source of good traffic. Entrecard also does good job for this blog. Entrecard not only allows you to earn credits by dropping your cards on someone’s blog and when someone drops a card on your blogs but also they give you credit when other bloggers advertise on your blog. You can use these credits to advertise on other blogs.
Another good traffic exchange service can be Spottt; however I have not yet used it.
